Welcome to the Serbian Australian Centre.

Serbian Australian Centre (SA Centre) Willawong is a general recreational, social and cultural centre that promotes Serbian culture and heritage through cultural festivals, multicultural events, holiday celebrations and educational programs for kids and adults.

The Centre was  established in 1979 and is a non-for-profit organisation run by young, vibrant and passionate Serbian volunteers focused on building meaningful connections with local Serbian and Australian community through organising and hosting a range of engaging initiatives. The Centre has evolved from a small community hall to a state of the art venue for weddings and celebrations of all kinds.

Vision

Our vision is bold as we want to be the No. 1 place for people to gather and connect, experience culture, arts, events, entertainment and excellent dining, and a place to enjoy and celebrate heritage and cultural events with friends, family and the wider community.

Mission

Respond to our community’s aspirations and vitality.

Build a strong foundation for the community and a sense of place and belonging.

Promote and preserve our culture and roots for the next generation.

Values

Cultural Identity – we preserve our cultural heritage and lead by example for future generations.

Inclusivity and Community Connection – we provide support and services to the wider Australian and Serbian community and encourage connection and joint celebrations through events and cultural activities throughout the year.

Respect – We treat everyone with dignity and strive to ensure our members feel safe and valued, that they have equal voice and access and are accepted in a caring, welcoming and non-judgmental manner.

Excellence – We aspire to be a responsive, quality, culturally-driven Centre by encouraging each other to be creative and visionary, by continuing to honour our predecessors achievements, by expanding our offerings further, and by having the support and confidence to follow passions.
